The best time to schedule your wedding cake consultation is after you have made some of the major decisions regarding your event, including date, venue, style/theme. That being said, early booking is encouraged to guarantee that you secure one of our limited spaces! "When do you offer your consultation appointments?" NancyKay offers her cake consultations on Saturdays. You'll be meeting with her at our Consultation Office at: 1917 1/2 Westwood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90025 All consultation appointments are arranged directly with NancyKay at 310.728.0129. "What happens at our cake consultation?" At your cake consultation, you'll have the opportunity to sample many of the cakes that NancyKay's Confections offers. NancyKay will collaborate with you to create the design for your stylish wedding cake, ensuring that it will be beautifully inspired by your ideas and perfectly suited for your reception event. "How can I prepare for my cake consultation?" To make the most of our time together, start thinking about the details you'll need to decide on at your meeting with NancyKay. Look through wedding publications and see how other couples have coordinated their cake with their wedding theme and colors. Consider the venue and your chosen event colors. Be thinking about styles that best match your wedding and reception plans. "How are the wedding cakes priced at NancyKay's Confections?" Our cakes are priced by the serving. Additional charges will apply for delivery, fresh flowers/floral design, sugar flowers and intricate designs. "What can you tell me about fondant?" Wedding cakes are much different than any other cake you may have had for an event. Typically they sit out for 3- 4 hours before the ceremonial "cake-cutting", and maintaining the beauty of your design is of the utmost importance. For these reasons, NancyKay's Confections creates only fondant designs so that you should not have to worry about your cake sweating, bulging, melting during your reception event. The fondant makes a beautiful presentation, while helping to "keep the cold in your cake." We use a fondant that tastes good and sweet and does not harden. We have special equipment to roll our fondant very thin, and your guests will still have their buttercream frosting and only a hint of fondant on their cake. "Do you offer Organic Ingredients?"
